Brandon:
I have had a passion for gardening and knowing where my food comes from for over a decade. I even spent just over a year managing an aquaponic greenhouse in Northern Wisconsin prior to being in a car accident that put a hault on my physical capabilities! My passion grew as I watched many loved family members dying of the dreaded cancer. That very thing is what led me down a rabbit hole and the most theraputic hobby I ever had. I had to try it all; whether it be hydroponic, container gardening, or large in-ground gardens, to aquaponics. I’m not a master gardener but I chalk up my knowledge to Youtube University and honestly we didn’t have that when my interests first boomed so I would say Forum University was my first degree!!
Ryan:
My love for aquariums started when I won a goldfish at the state fair. At the time I did not realize that keeping a 10 cent fish would have such a positive impact on my life. My love for all things nature related is a direct result from winning that goldfish 2+ decades ago. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and fixing things. My first paycheck came from refereeing youth soccer at the age of 14. I followed that up with becoming a 2nd shift leader at the local pizza joint for a few years. From there I graduated high school and went to NWTC to get my CNC Operators certificate. I worked as a shop grunt until I got my CNC certificate and then went to work for a local machine shop. After about a decade of CNC machining , my brother started to work on a new and improved fabric pot after a car accident. Shortly after I decided to walk away from CNC machining to help my brother launch EZ Swap Pots!
About EZ Swap Pots, LLC
In 2016 the brothers were going to pick up some baby chickens when a car turned in front of them leaving Brandon unable to do what he loved most, gardening! In need of a better way to container garden, Brandon started to work on developing the first truly transplantable fabric pot. In 2018 we went to our first garden expo in Madison, WI to showcase our wonderful product to gardeners alike. The response was wonderful and heart warming, almost everyone said “you guys should be on shark tank”. After customers seen how our fabric pot unsnapped and opened up, they started to buy them for their hanging baskets. A light bulb went off and in the offseason we started to develop our line of hanging basket liners. We continued to go to shows around the Midwest and once again we listened to our customers, creating a whole line up of trough and box liners. We now have a bunch more products to offer our customers, and we also do custom work as well. We absolutely love going to shows and talking with our customers, gardeners are the best type of people in this world.
We are now Trade Marked along with multiple Patents!
